Libby holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) candidate at Griffith University’s Creative Arts Research Institute. Her research explored how performers’ identities leave unique imprints on their performances, using innovative artistic and narrative methods. Other research interests include artistic experimentation, improvisation and embodied music theory.

She also completed a Master of Philosophy at The University of Queensland, exploring the application of Stanislavskian acting techniques to musical interpretation and performance.

Libby has interned for the editorial board of the Journal for Artistic Research and the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre. She is a PhD Executive Member of Griffith University’s Gender Equality Research Network (GERN) and a reviewer for Loud Mouth: The Music Trust E-Zine.
